LONGBOARD LONGBOARD
Longboard, which has become known worldwide for its success in the Best of Panama competition, is made up of three small farms in the Boquete region. Located in the cloud forest at the foot of Baru Volcano, the main farm, Misty Mountain, was built from scratch in virgin forest at an altitude of 1,550 to 1,800 meters, Windy Ridge, at an altitude of 1,600 meters, is a mature plantation facing Baru Volcano, and Fenario serves as the base with a processing facility. Using organic farming without the use of any chemical fertilizers or pesticides, mainly Geisha varieties are carefully grown by hand, and only fully ripe cherries are harvested more than 30 times a year.
The name "Longboard" comes from the founder's passion for surfing. Using biodynamic farming methods and cultivating in accordance with the cycles of the moon and the earth, they produce only a few thousand pounds of rare coffee per year. It has been consistently ranked high in the Best of Panama and is expected to trade at a high price of $3,048 per kilogram in 2023, making it one of the world's finest specialty coffees.
