Hartmann MI FINQUITA, Typica, Caturra 89pt, Special 2021 Lot Now Available
2025.02.28

Recently, the results of Best of Panama 2021 were announced, and Hartmann, who won the Geisha category last year in 2020, achieved another remarkable feat this year by placing 2nd in the Geisha Natural category and 3rd in the Washed category.
Despite the continued difficult circumstances for Panama farms since last year, we received a special lot offer from Tessie Hartmann early in the purchasing season this year, allowing us to import high-quality lots at a very early stage.
Setting aside Geisha for now, we received a rare lot of Typica Natural, grown at an impressively high altitude of 1,900m for Caturra, with a high rating of 89pt, especially at a time when traditional varieties were in short supply in Panama this year.
As usual, when we opened the box with Mi Finquita's charming design label, we found beautiful green beans meticulously sealed in GrainPro bags. Each came with a handwritten flavor wheel. Of course, these differ for each lot.

Around the time it arrived in Japan, we received a message from Tessie Hartmann saying, "That lot is truly of the finest quality."

Growing coffee in harmony with the environment.
"Growing coffee in harmony with nature"
The Hartmann family has continued for generations to produce coffee with extraordinary passion and drive, adhering to the philosophy of never damaging or disturbing nature, but working together with it.
"Coffee making is who we are, our culture, and our family's way of life, filled with daily responsibilities and love."
Everyone involved with the farm works with this philosophy and vision in their hearts, which is why they return to the farm each harvest season to continue their work.
In these difficult times, they've achieved undeniable quality through pure passion and practice, focusing intently on nature and coffee cherries without resorting to gimmicks.
I believe it's very symbolic and meaningful that they won Best of Panama last year and achieved that position again in 2021. I feel they've given us insights not only about the future direction of coffee but also about how to interact with nature and, by extension, how to live our lives, giving us a moment to pause and reflect.

Just recently, I received a message from Tessie for all of you who enjoy our Mi Finquita coffee.
La pasiòn por el cafe es lo que nos mueve, somos felices si nuestros clientes estan felices con la calidad que les damos. Gracias a usted y a sus clientes, les apreciamos muchisimo. Un abrazo
"Passion for coffee is what drives us. We are happy if our customers are happy with the quality we provide. Thank you to you and your customers, we appreciate you very much. With love."
The Hartmann family's passion and love for coffee is truly cosmic in scale.
Please try this "truly delicious coffee" where love is poured into each and every bean.
Everyone, both you and each person at the farm, will surely spend happy moments together.
